Question:There are black spots and black stripes on PTFE gasket and can not be washed off, I would like to know the reason and affect of the quality and effectiveness in the using process ?
Answer: if it is new, it may be made of recycled ptfe material, if it is used, may be there is some flange rust above the gasket. What medium is this gasket used in ? If it's not a special medium ,it will not impact on the use. You can cut the gasket and look at the incision, if the internal is black, the material must be very bad. You might buy the gasket with reclaiming material. If not,the reason may be the lack of professional equipment manufacturers produced in the form of mold,and mold is not clean enough.
