TICO PTFE Dispersions are milky-white aqueous dispersions of stabilized minute PTFE particles designed for release coatings and impregnation of media. PTFE is extremely resistant to weathering and can be used for architectural applications where 20 years and longer service is required. PTFE impregnation improves the chemical stability, heat resistance, chemical resistance, low friction properties, release properties, and dielectric characteristics of the media. PTFE Dispersions are used for impregnating yarns, packing materials, glass cloth and other media, release coatings for cookware and industrial applications.
PTFE Fine Powders
TICO PTFE Fine Powder is a white agglomerated PTFE powder produced from emulsion polymerization of tetrafluoroethylene. PTFE has an extremely low dielectric constant for a solid polymeric material. PTFE films can also be expanded into microporous membranes, fibers, tubes, and films. TICO Fine Powder products are designed for paste extrusion applications such as wire insulation, tubing, tapes and expanded film. Fine Powder PTFE readily absorbs organic solvents, which allow for the formation of a paste that can easily be extruded. Typical applications are sintered and unsintered tapes, thread seal tapes, expanded gaskets, tubing, convoluted tubing, heat shrinkable tubing, profile extrusion, wire insulation, coaxial wire insulation, fibers, filtration membrane, and apparel membrane. Homopolymer and copolymer grades are available.
